Hello!
I created this mood board to celebrate one of my favorite colors: Navy blue. Sherwin Williams has named Naval their color of the year. Here is a link to some great ways other designers have incorporated the color into their projects: https://www.swcolorforecast.com/coty/2020/
If you are interested in the materials I used on the Mood board, they are as follows:
Wood Floor is behind paint samples is Mirage Maple Platinum
The tile is style RV16 by Daltile Revalia series “White Kaleidoscope”
Carleton Door by Crystal Cabinets in Designer white matte
Countertop sample is Stratus White quartz by Corian Quartz
Glacier 6” pull by Top Knobs in Honey Bronze
Wallpaper is Prism in Navy and Gold by Graham and Brown
Complementary colors shown by Sherwin Williams are 7035 Intellectual Gray, 7012 Creamy, 7674 Peppercorn and 7605 Gale Force.
Other trends we are going to see this year are More Gold and bling in lighting. Frosted shades are out, as well as your standard flush mount light fixtures. Replace with a semi flush and go for an artisanal looking shade like seedy glass. Sometimes you just need to replace the shade!
Black! Especially in lighting and plumbing fixtures. Check out this beautiful two tone Lav faucet by Moen currently offered by Ferguson.
2020 Design reports the following Kitchen and Bath Trends:
Bright Accent colors on islands, but dark rich colors such as black and walnut are very popular.
No hardware on cabinets, instead start seeing integrated pulls, and accent channels. Note how the doors on the wall cabinets are extended down over the cabinet box for opening?
Fluted glass, natural stone and Terrazzo are all making a comeback as well!
Have you heard of Biophilic Design? Take a look at incorporating the following elements of nature to use in your remodel! Lots of plants, bamboo, rocks and neutral palates. Find a tree themed or floral wallpaper to use as an accent wall.
In the upcoming months, we will feature more before and after photos of completed projects and discuss more on trends.
What are you most excited about? What trends do you think ought never to come back?
FIRST DAY OF SPRING IS ONE MONTH FROM TODAY!!!
