What a blast this project was! The homeowner of this 2007 home wanted to update the aesthetic from a French Country feel to something a little more modern. We updated the kitchen, master bathroom, mudroom, dining room, and laundry room. Here we show the kitchen remodel, with other room remodels to come. Our client had very particular taste so he chose many of the selections. He wanted a very particular cabinet door finish which ended up being a custom finish of a creamy white paint on an oak door with grain showing through the paint. We worked with Crystal Cabinets, sending a few versions back and forth until we finally got it exactly as the client envisioned it. He went with a stained walnut island and Cambria Malvern island top and Cambria Charleston Perimeter top.
- Here are some of the elevations drawn up for the cabinet design. We added appliance panels to his new Thermador Refrigerator and Perlick undercounter refrigerator.
- On this wall, we added a tall cabinet to house a TV, coffee maker, microwave drawer, and warming drawer where we also added an appliance panel. All appliances are Thermador from Warners Stellian.
- The Thermador 48″ range and Wolf hood are a cook’s delight. This client wanted nothing but the best and the best is what he got.
- This wall was a challenge on what to put in place of the desk that was there. We toyed with some different design options such as a buffet, free-standing furniture piece, and ultimately decided on enlarging the small circular window to make a cozy built-in bench area.
